Painted Italian Furniture

Nella Vetrina's collection of painted Italian and french furniture is inspired by the interiors of 17th and 18th century France and Italy, combining bold colors with traditional furniture making techniques.

Our truly unique painted furniture designs are the ideal feature piece in modern and traditional spaces. What strikes one first about our designs are the variety of striking colors. Our primary material is European Cherrywood, which is painted with any of our 31 standard lacquer colors. However, our designs can be realized in any RAL color or custom color upon request. Many of our designs feature one or two colors, but several are decorated with playful hand painted motifs, like the Game of Cards chest of drawers, which shows the four playing-card suits in a rhombus-cut outline. The precise pattern wraps wonderfully over the classical curves of the wood, demonstrating our artists immense skill and showcasing perfectly our modern take on traditional design.

While our French painted furniture is renowned for its unique colors, it is the traditional and authentic craft techniques which truly set our furniture apart. Each piece is meticulously hand made with tried-and-true methods such as mortise and tenon joinery, to far outlive any mass-produced piece of today. Our creations are “the antiques of tomorrow,” designed to inspire future generations just as their historical models have inspired our designers. This same concern for future generations has led our designers to use only the most environmentally conscientious woods and materials.

As with all Nella Vetrina's collections, our painted furniture is handmade in Italy. Our expert craftsmen create each unique piece to the highest quality standards using techniques more than 100 years old. Because every piece is individually made to order, we can offer unparalleled customization of colors and sizes. A piece can therefore be created to suit any space and any client's particular requirements.
